Entrance Hall

Entrance Hall

Ample space at the front of the home provides staff and visitors with off road parking facilities. All windows of this beautiful house are covered with a reflective film which allows the children and young people extra privacy. The hallway is spacious and welcoming with a warming atmosphere and relaxing decor which is inviting.

Lounge/Music Room

Lounge/Music Room

One of the lounges has a variety of musical instruments available for the children and young people to access, create noise and have fun. This room is at the front of the house and so the noise is a minimum disturbance to the other occupants should they be having a quiet period.

Lounge

Lounge

There are a total of three lounges that provide the young people with time alone if they wish. All of the lounges are furnished with comfortable leather sofas allowing for plenty of seating for the child and any company they have. Two of the lounges house television sets and two have direct access to the large garden through patio doors.

Kitchen

Kitchen

Independence skills are developed in this spacious kitchen. Here the children and young people of Fox Lane are encouraged to learn the skills they require to prepare snacks and meals for themselves. Education of different foods and food benefits are gently introduced as a programme of learning. The children and young people enjoy preparing and tasting their own culinary creations and baking is a favourite pastime though the mixture has usually halved by the time it's placed in the oven!

Bedroom One

Bedroom One

Each child/young person has their individualised bedroom. Although the bedrooms have reflective film on the windows, which protects their privacy and dignity, the child/young person is still able to freely look out on the goings on of the community. Fox Lane has four bedrooms for children/young people and a further bedroom for sleep-in staff.

Bedroom Two

Bedroom Two

Before a child moves into Fox Lane they and their family are involved with decisions regarding personalising their bedroom which may include the furniture and colour scheme. Often this is in conjunction with family members and through the completion of a person centred plan and sensory profile.

Bathroom

Bathroom

The ground floor provides a specific large shower room. On the first floor there is another shower room and also a separate bathroom that benefits from having an over head shower attachment. This number of bathing rooms provides the option of washing facilities to be available for use at any time for members of the household, i.e. for preparation for school, etc.

Garden

Garden

The home benefits from a large secure rear garden with a well maintained lawn and bedding areas, courtesy of a friendly neighbour. Numerous fruit trees and mature plants compliment this truly tremendous garden which is well used with Fox Lane's occupants. This area is perfect for outside recreation which includes a trampoline. The decking area is ideal for scooters and bicycles. This wonderful home is within walking distance of Worden Park and other local amenities including a leisure centre and a variety of shops.
